Compare and contrast the Loving Kindness exercise and the Subtle mind exercise. Explain your experience including the benefits, frustrations etc.
I found the loving kindness exercise a little hard to focus on when it came to focusing on me. I think part of this is because as a mother it is easier for me to focus on others and not on myself. I was not really moved by this exercise and it was not as enjoyable as the Subtle mind exercise. The Subtle exercise was easier for me to actually focus on and by the time I had finished I felt calm and at ease. It was easier to focus as a whole and not really thinking that I was doing this for me or centering my thoughts on me.
Discuss the connection of the spiritual wellness to mental and physical wellness. Explain how the connection is manifested in your personal life.
Spiritual wellness is a higher consciousness through being able to nurture relationships with yourself and others and the ability to build a strong value system for yourself and most of all to have a strong meaning and purpose in your life. Yet along the way stress likes to through some obstacles in our way that can hinder our spiritual wellness. Mental wellness is our process to in which to recall and exchange information. Unfortunately stress again can cause a decrease in our process of being able to make decisions that are sound and good judgment, and can cause a problem in making sound decisions. Physical wellness can be a sense of complete functioning of our psychological system e.g. our cardiovascular, reproductive, and digestive systems. Stress could keep us from reaching homeostasis. It is amazing how all these are all interconnected
