Unit 8 Blog

The two practices that I have found to be the most helpful for me were the loving kindness and subtle mind.  When I first started using the disc it was hard for me to focus and to get used to the journey of the loving kindness.   I have always thought of others first and not myself.    I think that loving yourself in order to  achieve a healthy being is hard but very attainable with time and practice.   It also helps me to look at life differently.   The subtle  mind is another method that I use and find to be very helpful  As I began to take my deep breaths and to slow down my mind and start to focus on the breathing, I find that I am very calm and very relaxed.   I have found  that using both of these techniques to be very helpful when something stressful takes place  either in my job or in my personal life.   These are two techniques that can be done any where and where and at any time.   I have found  that by using  these two techniques I no longer have stress headaches and  it helps me to handle the stressful situation without all the drama.  I highly recommend these two styles for some one to start with and then o work to other styles.
